How to travel on the Red Bernina Train
There are several types of trains that leave from Tirano, the departure station, and make a stop in Sankt Moritz, the final stop of the journey.
The first is the scheduled train, which makes all stops and has lowered windows; the second one is slower but perhaps more suggestive: it is the Bernina Express, or the BEX, the panoramic train equipped with domed windows high up to the roof of the cars.
In summer it is also possible to get on the cabrio cars, the uncovered carriages with adjustable backrest, perfect to fully enjoy the landscape without ever losing sight of it.
